From Workshop Mechanic to Senior Project Coordinator
My Start at Gerritsen
When I joined Gerritsen, the company was still a relatively small transport business with a few trucks and two forklifts. I started as a mechanic in the workshop, maintaining and repairing equipment.
It did not take long before I realised that my interests went beyond the workshop. I developed a strong passion for trucks, cranes, heavy lifting and large industrial machinery. At that time, Gerritsen occasionally carried out small industrial relocations of single machines. Because of my technical knowledge, I was increasingly asked to join the relocation team.
Growing with the Organisation
As Gerritsen became more active in industrial relocations and projects grew in size and complexity, my role within the company expanded as well. In 2012, I moved from the workshop into the position of Project Leader. It was an exciting step. Suddenly, I was not only responsible for my own work, but also for the team on site. I became the face of Gerritsen during projects.
That responsibility brought challenges, but also great satisfaction. One of the most rewarding aspects of becoming a Project Leader was travelling across Europe. I visited new countries, met new people and worked in various factories producing different kinds of goods. Every factory was unique. Each new location introduced me to machinery I had sometimes never seen before. That constant exposure to new environments and technologies made the work both educational and dynamic.

Michal Nipcon
Senior Project Coordinator
My name is Michal Nipcon and I have been working at Gerritsen Group since 2009. What started as a role in the workshop developed into an international position within industrial relocation projects. Today, as Senior Project Coordinator, I am involved in multiple projects simultaneously and support teams across Europe.
From Project Leader to Senior Project Coordinator
As the organisation continued to grow and projects became larger and more complex, the teams expanded as well. More colleagues joined to ensure we could successfully execute multiple projects at the same time.
In 2016, I was promoted to Project Coordinator. From that moment, I was no longer responsible for just one project, but for several simultaneously. I travel even more between different project locations, support project teams with complex challenges and mentor new project leaders in their development. Sharing knowledge and experience has become an important part of my role.
Teamwork as the Foundation
After almost seventeen years at Gerritsen, I can say that this is an organisation where hard working and motivated colleagues collaborate across different departments. What makes us strong is teamwork. Together, we ensure that projects are executed safely, efficiently and according to plan.
I believe Gerritsen will continue to grow and further develop within the field of industrial relocations, becoming one of the major players in this sector. I am proud to have been part of that journey for so many years and to contribute to its ongoing development.
