Whether you’re relocating a single production line or an entire facility, our highly skilled team manages every detail — from dismantling, export-packing and transport to re-installation, alignment and commissioning.
We are looking for a professional and motivated Machine Mover/Mechanical Fitter to strengthen our team.
You will be required to work as part of a team, on customers sites assisting our engineers.
Core experience
- Experienced in the use of jacks, skates, slinging and other rigging equipment to move machinery.
- Safe operating of forklift trucks, versa-lifts, pick and carry cranes, enabling moving, loading and unloading machinery to and from transport.
- Use of hand tools power tools and equipment to assembly and disassemble machinery and equipment, align, level and fix down.
- Safety and compliance: Adhering to all health and safety regulations and procedures and completing necessary paperwork.
- Teamwork and communication: Working closely with team members and communicating instructions, using hand signals and verbal commands.
- Site-specific tasks: Performing installation, packing, and relocation on-site at various customer locations.
Required skills and qualifications
- Physical fitness: Ability to work outdoors and perform physical work.
- Attention to detail: Precision in following instructions and completing tasks correctly.
- Safety consciousness: Thorough knowledge of and strict adherence to safety standards.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. You must have a calm disposition and able to listen, give and follow instruction.
- Problem-solving: Aptitude for finding solutions to moving challenges.
- Experience: Experience with heavy machinery, rigging, or mechanical engineering would put a candidate at an advantage.
- Qualifications: Forklift truck operator; slinger signaller; lift supervisor; pick and carry crane operator, IPAF…….all or any of these will be advantageous to an applicant.
- Drivers licence- Driving a company van when required
